About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and client-focused Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) to join our growing team. In this role, you will deliver holistic financial planning and investment advice to a diverse portfolio of clients. Your primary responsibility will be to build long-term relationships founded on trust, integrity, and professionalism—helping clients achieve their financial goals through tailored, independent advice.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure business continuity and meet agreed targets.
- Promote the firm’s profile within the profession and wider community.
- Provide clear, tailored financial advice aligned with each client’s individual needs.
- Create comprehensive financial plans by guiding clients through the full advisory journey.
- Gain a deep understanding of clients’ circumstances to identify the right life plan.
- Collaborate with the team to present financial strategies in a clear and simple way.
- Maintain continuous professional development to meet regulatory and personal growth requirements.
- Ensure all business is conducted responsibly and in compliance with legislative requirements, including Consumer Duty regulations.
- Bring and manage your existing client relationships while continuing to grow your portfolio.
- Focus on cash flow modelling and present multiple scenarios to clients.
- Prepare meeting notes and client documentation.
- Conduct income and expenditure analysis.
- Ensure all client objectives are followed through to completion.
- Deliver an ongoing review service tailored to client needs.
- Manage individual workflow and task delivery effectively.
Requirements- Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS / Level 4 Qualified) or higher (Chartered or Certified status preferred).
- Current FCA authorisation with Statement of Professional Standing (SPS).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Financial Advisor, ideally in an independent environment.
- Strong knowledge of investment planning, inheritance tax planning, SIPPs and SSAS pensions, and protection products.
- High ethical standards, excellent interpersonal skills, and a client-first approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own client base and diary.
- Proficiency in financial planning software (PlannR) and CRM systems.
