The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Paraplanner to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is technically skilled, highly organised, and committed to delivering exceptional client outcomes. We are keen to have an individual that is technology driven.
You will play a key role in supporting advisers by conducting research, preparing recommendations, producing high-quality suitability reports, and ensuring all client work meets regulatory and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, personalised, and well-considered suitability reports and client correspondence.
- Conduct detailed technical research and analysis to support client recommendations.
- Produce recommendations across a broad range of financial planning areas, including:
- Retirement planning, pension transfers, and drawdown strategies
- Investment planning
- Protection planning
- Inheritance Tax and trust planning
- Business planning solutions
- Ensure all client documentation, including fact finds, illustrations, and supporting evidence, is complete, accurate, and compliant.
- Undertake comparative research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations.
- Investigate client queries thoroughly and provide accurate, timely responses.
- Provide administrative support where required, including:
- Obtaining additional information through Letters of Authority
- Business submission processing
- Preparation of presentation packs and supporting documentation
- Work collaboratively with advisers and colleagues to deliver an exceptional client experience and consistently high standards of advice.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (CII) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of two years' experience within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial planning products, services, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills, with the ability to interpret information and provide detailed commentary.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A positive, proactive, and collaborative approach to working within a close-knit team.
- A desire to help implement technology and AI
Desirable
- Experience using FE Analytics, Voyant, Salesforce, and Aptus.
- Previous experience supporting the administration process, including business submissions and preparation of client presentation packs.
What We Offer
- Salary: £38,000 to £43,000 per annum + Bonus (depending on experience)
