The Role:
As a Senior Paraplanner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial advisory team by preparing comprehensive reports, conducting detailed research, and delivering technical support to ensure our clients receive exceptional service. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced advisors and clients, helping to deliver tailored financial strategies.
This is a client-facing role, so having this experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and preparing detailed financial plans, reports, and suitability letters.
- Conducting in-depth research on investment products, pension schemes, and tax strategies.
- Liaising with clients, financial advisors, and third parties to gather necessary information.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures.
- Providing technical expertise and mentoring junior paraplanners and support staff.
- Reviewing and updating financial strategies in line with changing regulations and market conditions.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in a paraplanning or similar role, preferably within an independent financial advisory practice.
- Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) is essential. Level 6 or Chartered status would be a distinct advantage.
- Experience using voyant for cash flow, FE Analytics for fund data, FinaMetrica, and Quro is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial products, tax-efficient planning, pensions, investments, and protection products.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in an accessible manner.
- Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate leadership skills when required.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of FCA regulations and industry standards.
