As a Unity Paraplanner, you will build a close relationship with our financial planning firms. Day to day, you will get involved in planning conversations, research, analysis and report-writing.
You will have a good base of technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and estate planning, along with an ability to apply this to each client's individual circumstances. When writing reports, we favour straightforward language in an easy to read format, using tables and diagrams to help bring the advice to life.
Additionally, you will have a keen enthusiasm for getting the right outcomes for the end client and the motivation to question, challenge and suggest better ways of doing things, where appropriate, in a constructive and supportive manner.
Ongoing training and exam support is provided, along with exam leave and membership to relevant professional bodies. We treat our paraplanners as individuals so your training plan will be based on your own needs and goals, with one eye on where you want to progress your career in future.
In addition to salary, we run a quarterly bonus scheme and workplace pension. You will be supported and encouraged to attend paraplanning and CPD events, paid for on your behalf.
While the role is home-based, our team communicate frequently, both internally and with the wider paraplanning community. Within the team, we share ideas, proof work and help each other become better paraplanners. However, you will also need to be comfortable working on your own and able to effectively manage your workload.
Ideally, you will be at least diploma qualified with ambitions to continue learning throughout your paraplanning career.
